Chatting with Mick Collins — Mick Collins Plumbing, Point Cook
Mick Collins has been a plumber for over 25 years. Before setting up Mick Collins Plumbing in Point Cook, he finished his apprenticeship in the Australian Army and deployed to East Timor and Afghanistan where he set up sanitation facilities and taught plumbing skills to locals along the way. Since returning to Australian soil, he's installed exposed-copper Carlton Draught systems in pubs all around the country, and built a reputation for quality work across general plumbing and modular builds.
But as with most trade businesses, cashflow can be unpredictable. Jobs move fast, materials need to be on hand, and waiting around for invoices to clear isn't always an option. That's where Mick looked to Laddr.
Laddr helps Mick stay on the front foot, with access to money whenever he needs it.
Mick has been using Laddr's line of credit to keep his cashflow smooth and the thing he keeps coming back to is how easy it is.
“You don't have to go through a million forms,” said Mick. “All the information just transfers over from your Reece Trade Account. I recommend it. It's very easy to use.”
For a tradie who's spent decades getting things done efficiently, that kind of simplicity matters.
With Laddr, Mick applies once via his Reece maX account, gets a quick decision on a credit limit, and draws funds when he needs them. He pays interest only on what he uses, and repays when invoices land. Then it resets, ready for the next job.
